Code of Conduct

HRGB - Code of Conduct

HRGB members are expected to be polite, courteous and respectful to each other at all times; failure to do so may result in membership suspension and/or expulsion.

HRGB Members must:

  1. Support the Society and its endeavours to promote and support the art of handbell ringing.
  2. Not engage in dishonest, abusive or bullying behaviour or engage in any conduct which could adversely affect the interests or reputation of the Society.
  3. Ensure that the language they use is appropriate and not offensive or discriminatory, avoiding sarcastic, insensitive, derogatory or suggestive comments and gestures.
  4. Not discriminate on the grounds of gender, ethnicity, background, sexual orientation, age, religion or political belief.
  5. Comply with the Data Protection Act and ensure that use of personal data relating to HRGB members complies with their obligations under the act.
  6. Comply with HRGB’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies and procedures as detailed on the HRGB website.
  7. Challenge unacceptable behaviour and report any allegations/suspicions of abuse without delay. 

Should anyone feel they have a concern it should be immediately raised in confidence to a committee member or safeguarding officer.
